A rare and very good early Dutch longcaseclock, c.a. 1720.

8-day movement, going- and striking train (full strike on hours and single strike on half hours).
Date and alarum.
Dial-plate in brass, engraved in the centre, with very fine gilt-bronze spandrels and silvered chapter-ring, second-ring and date-disk.
An extraordinary beautiful case: walnut on oak, standing on ball-feet. The hood with fine fretwork and torded colums, crowned with three brass ball- finials.
