No 070. An attractive Temple de L'Amour, Pendule à Cercles Tournants, France 1780.
This sophisticated clock, made in white and grey marble, gilt bronze and porcelain biscuit, in the shape of a circular temple in the tradition of the ancients, consisting of four columns whereby in the middle the young allegorical figure of Love.
The upper part contains the clockwork mechanism, consists of two horizontal turning rings in white enamel, the Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for indicating the minutes. , one for the hours, one for the minutes, opposite a fixed pointer. Deze geraffineerde klok in wit en grijs marmer, verguld brons en biscuit porselein heeft de vorm van een cirkelvormige tempel in de traditie van de antieken, bestaande uit vier kolommen met in het midden daarvan de jonge allegorische figuur van de Liefde. Het bovendeel vormt de behuizing voor het uurwerk bestaande uit twee horizontaal draaiende ringen in wit email, de uren aanduiding in Romeinse cijfers en de minuten in Arabische cijfers.
Met achtdaags uurwerk, halfuur slagwerk op een bel. Slinger met zonnestralen - lens. Bij het vergulden heeft men gebruik gemaakt van rosé - en geel goud, wat een mooi effect geeft.
Met originele marmeren voet en glazen stolp. Schitterend concept en gebruik van materialen. Zeldzaam, mooi en functioneel. Diameter 20 x 48 hoog. Pendule diameter 16 x 44 cm.
