A handsome lantern clock with glazed wings and original verge escapement and short pendulum between the trains, made in the 1690s by John Wright of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.
- One of this name was married at Tuxford, Nottinghamshire, on the 6th June 1675 to Mary Curtle and a John and Mary Wright had a son, John, baptised at Mansfield in 1677 or 1678 (records vary). A John Wright was married there in December 1678 or 1679 to Rebecca Blankley (or Rebecca Clauk - writing indiscernible). He was a Quaker, who is believed to have been buried there on the 26th October 1707. This is one of only three lantern clocks so far been recorded by him.
