A fine lantern clock made in the 1670s by the highly-respected goldsmith, Jeremy Gregory of London, (born 1621, died 1686), who was associated with Edward East. This is one of only four lantern clocks so far known by him. It was built with a centre verge pendulum and was later converted to long pendulum. The images of the right and top of the clock show it before cleaning.
