The gilt brass case surmounted by the snake symbol Ouroboros. Ouroboros is one of the oldest mystical symbols in the world. In alchemy, it represents the spirit of Mercury.
Arabic enamel dial with pierced gilt hands, signature of the retailer, half hour rack strike on a gong  Movement numbered 688. Dimensiosn HxWxD 22(handle up), 13, 10 cm. Price  € 2.250,--

Een laat 19e-eeuwse 'Pendule d'officier' gemaakt in Louis XVI-stijl.
Uurwerk met dubbele veerton,  ankerplatform echappement, looptijd van 8 dagen.
Het slangsymbool Ouroboros bekroont de vergulde kast. Ouroboros is een van de oudste mystieke symbolen ter wereld. In alchemie wordt de geest van Mercurius gesymboliseerd.
Geëmailleerde wijzerplaat met Arabische cijfers, fijn gezaagde vergulde wijzers, handtekening van de detailhandelaar, halfuurslagwerk op een gong. Uurwerk genummerd 688. Dimensies HxBxD:  22 (handvat omhoog), 13, 10 cm. Prijs € 2.250,
