This fine lantern  is signed on dial John Ebsworth Ye Cross Key at Lothbury Londini. Roman chapter ring, engraved dial and decorative pierced frets and strapped bell. The case with typical turned finials, pillars and feet. The 8 day spring driven movement ,  anchor  escapement  with double chain and fusee. Quarter striking mechanism on two cast bells.  Pendulum with fixation screw for transport. The clockwork  signed on the back E. White 20 Cockspur St. London. Mooie lantaarn gesigneerd op wijzerplaat John Ebsworth Ye Cross Key in Lothbury Londini. Romeinse cijferring, wijzerplaat graveringen, opengewerkte frets en vastgehouden bel. De kast gedecoreerd met typische lantaarn pinakels, kolommen en poten. 8 daags uurwerk met veer opwinding met dubbele snek op kettingen. Gaand werk met ankergang en kwartier slagwerk op twee gegoten bellen. Slinger met fixatie schroef voor transport. Het uurwerk gesigneerd op de achterzijde E. White 20 Cockspur St. London.
