A very good quality Charles X French rosewood portico antique mantel clock ca. 1840, with floral satinwood inlay, boxwood string inlay and boxwood stringing to the columns, finished with brass gilt capitals. The clock has a decorative harp shaped pendulum with central star motif and a silvered dial with Roman numerals. The movement is an eight day with outside count wheel which strikes the hours and half hours on a bell.
