Eightday movement, striking the hours and half hour on a gong,  with Brocot escapement. Movement with torsion pendulum suspended from the centre of the dome which simulates the light. Behind the lighthouse glass is the torsion rotation visible.  The clockmaker Guilmet is known for building  several types of industrial clocks, they illustrate the technical inventions and developments of the 19th Century.

Guilmet vuurtoren klok met spiraalveer - torsieslinger. Circa 1885.
Acht daags uurwerk met slagwerk van de uren en een half uur op een gong, Brocot echappement. De klok heeft een torsieslinger opgehangen in het midden van de koepel die het licht simuleert. Achter het glas van de vuurtoren is de torsie-rotatie zichtbaar. De klokmaker Guilmet is bekend voor het maken van verschillende soorten industriële klokken die de technische uitvindingen en ontwikkelingen van de 19e eeuw illustreren.
A.R. Guilmet als uitvinder van mysterie en industriële klokken werkte in Parijs, eerst werkzaam aan de Rue du Faubourg-Saint Martin en later aan Boulevard Sébastopol.
