French Gilt Brass Quarter Repeating gorge - case, circa 1880.
Clock has 4.8-cm enamel dial with Roman numbers and brequet hands, matted gilt surround with alarm subsidiary below, eight-day movement with club tooth platform lever escapement, alarm on a gong, only repeating the quarters and hours on two gongs on request, gilt corge case surmounted by a handle and repeating button, glass panels to the top and all sides raised on a shaped plinth.
