A rather Early Frisian Staartklok, signed on the dial G.E. Okkema 1820. The 30 hour clock with Elm case, quarter striking mouvement on two bells, alarum, moonphase and date of the month apertures. The dial with it' s original paintings depicting the 4 Evangelists: Matheus (St. Matthew) Marcus (St.Mark) Lucas (St. Luke) Johannes (St. John) Surmounted with the typical Dutch 'Atlas' and 'Fame' statues. Clock is antique, original and fairly complete but not recently overhauled. Height ca 140 cm.
