For sale: A very nice and original Louis XVI (circa 1770) clock, alabaster and ormulu, Sevres biscuit of a turkish male figure, signed on the dial Thoulouze, Horloger du Roi. This clockmaker is listed on Tardy, "Dictionnaire des Horlogers Français", pag. 613, "Edme.Thoulouze, A l'Arsenal, cour de l'horloge, Paris. In 1783 he signed a clock with a biscuit of Locre. Original movement of eight days, striking hour and half. High 42 cms.
