A wonderful pair of Louis XV gilt bronze figural chenets attributed to Jacques Caffiéri (1678-1755), each with young Bacchantes, the boy eating grapes and the girl holding a cup in one hand and grapes in the other, both seated on a shell-shaped plinth garlanded with grapes within a foliate rocaille base, Paris, date circa 1745

Height 32cm, length without iron 20cm, width 40cm each.
