A rare and attractive French 8-day brass and ormolu lantern clock with alarm, mid 18th Century
ornate ormolu dial with blue Roman cartouche numerals, centre signed Lefebure Hologer du Roi A Fontainebleau surmounted by a pierced ormolu cresting with a sunburst and cockerels, shaped blued hands, 8-day brass posted movement with verge escapement and silk suspended pendulum, countwheel half hour striking with strike/silent on a surmounted bell, alarm on the same bell, brass frame with well turned finials and feet, brass doors to the sides, placed on a stained wood bracket.
