A fine pair of Directoire silver candlesticks by Pierre Paraud, each with an urn-shaped socket engraved with a stiff leaf band on a fluted tapering stem on a circular spreading foot decorated with an engraved stiff leaf band and cast egg-and-dart band Paris, dated 1794-97 Height 30.5 cm. each. In addition to fine domestic silver Pierre Paraud (d. 1815) also made ceremonial Church silver.
