The ebony veneered case with gilt metal double basket top surmounted by a gilt brass carrying handle and flanked by four gilt finials at each corner. The front door with foliate gilt-metal mounts. Glazed sides and rear door.
The dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with sword-hilt half-hour markers, typical pierced blued steel hands, gilt matted centre with ringed winding holes, mock pendulum aperture, day of the month aperture within an engraved cartouche, strike/silent option above 12 o'clock, finely chased winged cherub spandrels, wheatear engraving to border.
The fusee movement of 8 day duration with verge escapement and bob pendulum, sounds the hour on a single bell. With typical finely engraved backplate.
