A good mid 19th century clock with a single fusee, ebonised case and silvered brass dial.

The makers Barraud & Lund:
This firm was founded by the well known chronometer maker Paul Philip Barraud (born 1752) at Cornhill, London. Paul Phillip Barraud worked with his father at first until his death in 1795 after which Barraud turned his attention more towards chronometers.
After his death in 1820 the business was continued by his sons, taking John Richard Lund into partnership in 1838. The business Barraud & Lund was closed in 1929. Price on request.

Gesigneerd en genummerd op de achterplatine en wijzerplaat.
Een voornaam midden 19de eeuws tafelkokje met snek aandrijving, geëboniseerde kast en verzilverde messing wijzerplaat. Kast en uurwerk in een goede conditie en authentieke staat.

Over de makers Barraud & Lund:
Bedrijf is opgericht door de zeer bekende maker van chronometers Paul Philip Barraud (geboren 1752) in Cornhill Londen. Paul Philip Barraud werkte samen met zijn vader tot deze overleed in 1795, waarna hij zich ging specialiseren in het maken en verbeteren van chronometers. Na zijn dood continueerde zijn zoon de zaak die een associatie aanging met John Richard Lund in 1838. Het bedrijf Barraud & Lund bleef actief tot in 1929. Prijs op aanvraag.
