This music box is the result of the collaboration of two renowned companies Reymond and Nicole. The title page states "Brillant Tone Piece of Music. Three favorite modern overtures ". 1.The overture at the opera Norma (Bellini); 2. ,, ,, ,, The Jewess (Halevy); 3. ,, ,, ,, The 2 Queens.(Donizetti). Vincenzo Bellini is an Italian composer who is well known for his opera Norma, created in the Teatro alla Scala in December 1831. Up to now the most played opera of his works. Fromental Halévy was a French composer (1799 - 1862), and to this day known for the opera La Juive (1835) / The Jewess. Gaetano Donizetti was engaged in a creating operas about the Tudor reign. To the mayor protagonists in the opera Anna Bolena, Maria Stuarda (Mary Stuart), and Roberto Devereux is referenced by the designation "Three Donizetti Queens." Bedplate No. 382. Cylinder / comb size 20 cm, diameter 7 cm. Walnut cabinet wxdxh 37X15, 5X12 cm. This music box is characterized by it’s superb sound quality and sophisticated elaboration of the overtures.
