An unusual early 19th century mahogany wall timepiece by the well known maker J. M. French. The inlaid mahogany is case of distinctive square shape and the painted wooden dial is beautifully crazed. The simple brass spade hands appear to be original to the clock. The high quality timepiece fusee movement with anchor escapement runs for 8-days. Height: 11 ¾ inches (30cm) ins. ( cm.)
