A very attractive German Louis XVI inspired high quality mantel clock signed "Franze Leuwer Bremen". The lovely contrasts of the beautiful colored wood and white marble staircase and columns, makes it very decorative. The gilt  fabulously detailed bronzes and the wood carved Greek figures and Eagles on top makes it very special. The 8-day striking movement with gong and sunburst pendulum together with a nice enamel dial with lovely pierced hands, circa 1890
