An Elegant, high quality mantel clock with half hour/ hour strike and calendar, case lavishly  decorated with mother-of-pearl.

Case: ebonized wood, front sides and top part decorated with little square mother - of - pearl plates, back veneered with burl wood;sides decorated with gilt bronze fittings in the form of a goat feeding on grapes; four moulded disc feet, gilt bezel, heavy gilt handle.

Dial: silvered, inlaid radial Roman hours, blued Brequet hands. In the lower part is a square window inlaid with brass, and two inserted silvered dials: the left shows the day of the week in French, the right shows the date with Arabic numerals; blued hands.

Movm: circular brass full plate, anchor escapement, silk suspended short pendium with transport locking device. Additional rectangular for calendar indications.
