In addition to the origins of the pendulum clocks from the Vormärz era, the publication includes a unique data list of masters with more than 12,000 datasets, including previously unknown names of clockmakers.

Among other things, general biographical data, the location of workshops, masterpieces and exhibits at fairs, inventions, names of apprentices and journeymen, the characteristics of the clocks, the points of sale, names of the buyers and the prices of the time are mentioned.
