A very elegant pair of Louis XVI gilt bronze mounted mahogany console dessertes, each with a demi-lune bleu turquoise marble top with three-quarter pierced gilt bronze gallery above a conforming frieze centred by a gilt mounted panelled drawer with circular ringed handles and central escutcheon flanked by similar gilt mounted panels divided by rectangular ribbed gilt mounted panels above spreading fluted columnar supports joined by a conforming demi-lune bleu turquoise marble undertier with galleried sides, the supports headed by gilt mounted capitals, on turned toupie feet with gilt bronze sabots Paris, date circa 1775-80 Height 87 cm, length 82 cm, depth 38 cm. each.
