A rare fine probably South German rack clock, circa 1750, parcel gilt shaped backboard, movement with verge escapement with so-called cow tail pendulum surmounted with wood carved louis XVI guirlandes , the movement is driven by its own weight along the brass rack untill it reaches the bottom in circa 24 hours, enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer five minute divisions with Arabic numerals, pierced iron hands. Height 75 cm, widtrh 18 cm, deep 10 cm. Price: on request |
